I can build the Angstrom images "virtual/kernel" and "console-image" using the new meta-angstrom repo.

Is there a bitbake recipe that provides a gui? I tried xfce-mn-image and it bombs out:

NOTE: package xserver-xf86-config-0.1-r16.2: task do_install: Started

NOTE: package xserver-xf86-config-0.1-r16.2: task do_install: Failed

Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thanks

Oh bother, I fixed it myself. The recipe has got issues...

The new issue is Enlightenment startup in X crashes during the touch calibration process for some reason. I can run X with Twm without a problem (except calibration is off for now). My real target is just a custom X application
that does not need a window manager.

From the lack of interest I assume nobody is looking at anything other than headless or Android anyway (if they have not all abandoned ship for Pi).

Now on to USB issues and or a newer kernel.

Yes we mostly use and maintain Android. But I can publish your patch to the recipe file into gitorious if you are willing to share your work.

Let me know about USB issues. A newer kernel won't come from us any time soon since I'm assigned to different projects atm, but Daniel Palmer has a 3.8 kernel in works.

Hi , Nicu I am waiting my previouse mail answer about of which lcd or capacitive screen use
for pico board  regards

I asked about the capacitive solution, afaik there is one in the works but unsure about panel manufacturer but the driver for it is in the kernel as pico capacitive touchscreen driver.
LCD can be anything with parallel RGB data (with correct ordering see out sample datasheet from INNOLUX), and 3.3V as input voltage.
