Embedded Linux (mostly commercial Linux) seems to do better. Not so
sure about other smaller open source RTOS like eCos and FreeRTOS.

This is also interesting but I can not believe the VDC data. Is this
embedded OS such a small market (US$1.4billion in 2006, including
vendors like Micrrosoft and Symbian) yet with so many vendors? And
Microsoft is No 1? In paticular, commercial sales of embedded Linux
is said to be only US$110 million in 2006.
