So... has anyone else had issues like this with Br@ys Terminal?
I've got a long string of binary uart data at 104167bps I need to capture.
I've done it on my logic analyzer (Tech-Tools Digiview), but the string of
data is longer than the memory.
So, any other trouble with Br@ys terminal? Other ideas on capturing a long
binary string and saving it as hex?
THANKS!
Harold

I suspected that Br@y's terminal might be a form of spyware (though my spyware detection does not find it). I disconnect my network cable when I bring it up and it's much faster. Also it seems faster if you have direct serial ports compared to USB ports with serial adaptors. Also disable handshaking, and DTR, RTS until you need them. Close it this way for the next time you bring it up.

I haven't had any problems with it, But I'm mostly running under
Win2k. I do have it on an XP machine though and it's been working fine
there, although I don't use it on that machine all that often.

I've stopped using Br@y's term because I couldn't get it to reliably deal with virtual serial ports. Realterm (http://realterm.sourceforge.net/) seem pretty good although sometimes a bit weird. But the price is right.
Also been using "Free Serial Port Monitor" (http://www.serial-port-monitor.com/index.html) with some luck.
Windows XPpro, lots of RAM and latest service packs, etc installed.

Thanks for the info on RealTerm. I'm now using it, and it does exactly
what I need.
