On 26th March Clint Sharp wrote that he has found the psf410.hex.

I am having similar problem. I am in India, and sending the unit to
Microchip would be very expensive.

I would appreciate ifany one can point me to the file, or email it to me.

My address is satyadev DOT vyas AT gmail DOT com

Thanks in advance.

It seems that PUM has got messed up while upgrading. Now it just won't talk
to MPLAB.
And reading microchip forum and other sites, it seeems only way is to
reprogram the 18F6720 on PUM
And for that psf410.hex is needed.

Does it specifically need to be that revision?

MPLAB comes with a PSFxxx.hex file, where xxx is the revision.

Why can you not use the one with your current MPLAB?

PSFxxx.hex does not have a bootloader. Initial part , memory 0000 to 1k or
2k (I forget and I am in different location at present) is empty in
PSFxxx.hex in MPLAB. So that won't do.

I need a file which has bootloader as well. And reading forums etc, I
learned that the file name is PSF410.hex, which has a bootlader.

OK, that is fair enough. I understand where you are coming from now.

I don't think I like the tone of that.
Let me repeat. I have PURCHASED the PicStart Plus from a local sub dealer.
And for your kind information, the number on back of it is: Assy#
10-00157-R21 Serial# JIT040511213

As I mentioned earlier, it got messed while upgrading. And that seems to be
not so uncommon a problem.

There was a thread in late March (I think) about it. And Clint Charp had
mentioned that he managed to get the PSF410.hex, and I thought piclist being
piclist I might get help.

Guess I was wrong.

I have saved the content of PUM from my PicStart Plus at:

www.datatehnik.com/satyadaev/psp_pum.zip

I hope this will work for you.
