Printing from Picasa

I used to use Picas many years ago, I thought Google had discontinued it and haven't used it for many years (maybe 20 years) , and it has all changed from the original version I used.

I just tried to use the print option with 4 photos on an A4 page, and selected  8 shots, and started to print. It seemed OK at first, but after the 8 photos I had selected had printed  it continued printing everything on the folder which contained hundreds of photos. Fortunately I was able to cancel the printing . How do I print just the ones selected and not all in the folder or album?
