My friend loves the show but can't watch the second season because it's not on Netflix in the U.S. I would love to burn the season into a DVD for them but after trying for days to download it on various websites I just can't figure it out. Does anyone have files of these episodes lying around, or maybe a way to download them myself? Thank you.

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles depicts seven distinct story arcs, showing the last several adventures the Turtles embark in the months following Splinter's passing, such as the Turtles revisited by familiar allies/comrades from previous seasons to battle familiar villains (also from previous seasons) who have cheated their deaths and returned for revenge, as well as encounter and befriend some new allies (especially when transported to alternate dimensions and/or time travel through history) and team up to defeat new arch-enemies. This season also includes a flashback set during the Turtles' early youth in New York City following their mutation and explores glimpses of possible, hypothetical futures. Throughout the season, fans can expect to see both new and familiar friends and enemies as each story arc unfolds. The series concluded on November 12, 2017, with the final 3-episode 68-minute long story arc titled "Wanted: Bebop & Rocksteady".

This is the only season where the Turtles are left to fend for themselves and are guided by Leonardo (following Splinter's death), although his spirit continues to watch over his family from the afterlife and occasionally visits them (mostly Leo) to offer some advice and suggestions (excluding "Lone Rat and Cubs" and the "Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse" arc).

On July 10, 2015, Nickelodeon ordered a fifth season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The first four episodes were released to DVD on March 21, 2017, two days after the season 5 TV premiere on Nickelodeon.

On March 2, 2017, Nickelodeon and Viacom renewed the series for a fifth and final season, retitling it as "Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", and its opening titles were changed, featuring a brand new opening theme with instrumental music instead of a rap, and that Season 5 would broadcast a shorter, sparser 20 episodes instead of the usual 26 (like the previous four seasons), consisting of several story arcs instead of following one single plot-line. It was also announced by Nickelodeon that the series would conclude after five seasons and that Season 5 will be the show's last. When asked about the possibility of more seasons, it was noted that while Ciro Nieli originally planned on finishing the series after five seasons, they weren't opposed to doing more seasons, even if it would mean they would have to modify the series plan. No such modification occurred, and the series ended at five.

"The Wasteland Warrior, "The Impossible Desert", and "Carmageddon!" are typically presented as a television movie, "Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse". Although these episodes were not the last to air, and not officially considered canon by Nickelodeon, they were the last episodes produced.[13] In an interview, executive producer Ciro Nieli revealed that he intended for these episodes to be the series finale in order to prevent any alteration of the timeline that he and the rest of the crew had built[14], despite the episodes' contradictions to previously established canon (most notably Renet's description of the future from the Season 3 episode "Turtles in Time"). However, the production team and crew from Nickelodeon chose to air those episodes on Nicktoons in the middle of the season, and officially issued a statement on their social media websites, announcing that "Wanted: Bebop and Rocksteady" would be the official series finale and canon ending on Nick. instead.[15] On threads from the franchise Twitter account (which is run by Nickelodeon), they indicated that "Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse" is non-canon and more of a hypothetical "what if..." future arc.[16][17] and a press release for the DVD refers to the special as "another dimension"[18]
