Hi all,

I built a simple Eclipse plug-in that allows you to run and debug Java applications on your Raspberry PI from within an Eclipse IDE (running on another host - e.g. your laptop).

An example what can be achieved with Pi4J and LaunchPI:
  1. Create a standard java project
  2. Create a libraries folder (e.g. lib) under it
  3. Put the required Pi4J libraries inside this folder and add them to the project's classpath.
  4. Copy the GPIO Control sample (http://pi4j.com/example/control.html)
  5. Run/Debug it on my PI.

If you want to give it a try, visit the GitHub page - http://tsvetan-stoyanov.github.io/launchpi/

Any feedback, comments, suggestions and of course bugs :) will be highly appreciated.

Have a nice day,
Tsvetan

I just started looking at writing Java for Raspberry Pi and found your plugin, it was a breeze to configure and use. Really, it is awesome!

Thank you so much!

Hi All

Thanks to Tsvetan for his LaunchPI Eclipse Plugin. ANCIT has built an IDE for RaspberryPI using Eclipse. It is called as CodeRASPIde.

1. Project Wizard for Creating a new PI4J Project
2. Java Project with PI4J Library added to ClassPath
3. Configuration File for RasberryPI Programming with extn .picfg
4. Modeling Editor for Editing the RasberryPI Model
5. PIN Status Diagram indicating the USE of the PINs
6. Code Visualizer to represent the current Flow Diagram of the Application under Development
7. Remote Execution and Debug from Eclipse on RasberryPI using LaunchPI Plugins

Malai
