There is an issue in recently released Pi4J version 0.0.4 with the new Oracle Java SE 8 (with JavaFX) Developer Preview for ARM.

If you are running this early access Oracle JRE/JDK, then please use the latest 0.0.5-SNAPSHOT build of Pi4J.
