Upgrading from 1.0 (SerialDataListener) to 1.2 (SerialDataEventListener)

Hello:

Between 1.0 and 1.2 SerialDataListener changed to SerialDataEventListener

How has everyone been handling the code change? We now have 2 master code branches as a result, which is a pain. Some of our units are deployed in the field so we are anxious about changing pi4j versions on them remotely.

Any guidance would be welcome!
