Dear Physionet Challenge team,

This is to seek clarification regarding the submission process for the unofficial phase.

Could you please confirm whether the model code will be trained initially and then run for evaluation, or if it requires participants to train the models themselves before evaluation?

Thanking you,
Sushanth

Dear Sushanth,

Please include working training code and a pre-trained model with your submissions. We will run your training code with each submission.

During the unofficial and official phases, we will run your training code on a small subset of the training set and evaluate your pre-trained model on the validation set due to the computational cost of generating ECG images. This approach allows us to perform basic checks on the functionality of your code and provide quicker feedback.

After the official phase, we will run your training code on the full training set and evaluate the resulting model on the test set. This approach allows us to perform a full check of your code.
