Dear Community,

We are delighted to announce a special Challenge, run jointly with Kaggle with a $50,000 prize pot. This is not the 2026 Challenge, which will be launched in early 2026 after this special Challenge ends.  This special Challenge will run for 3 months entirely on the Kaggle platform, and we will address questions on the Challenge in the associated Kaggle forum.

The topic is one you know well - we are revisiting the first of the two events in the 2024 Challenge - the extraction of digital ECG signals from scans of 12 lead ECG printouts,

Why are we revisiting this problem? Well, although the classification of the images of these paper printouts was performed well, the extraction of the ECGs remains a largely unsolved problem. In addition, we have added new training data of varying images of physical printouts, to enhance the realism to improve training.

Please see this link for further information on how to enter.
and the following articles for more background on the problem.

For this limited Challenge, please post questions in the 'discussion' section of the Kaggle site.

We hope to see you there!
