Dear Shashank,
Different sources use different data formats with different variables and information, so we created these data preparation scripts (in the example code repositories) to convert data from different sources into a common format. We will use the data from our version of the data preparation scripts when we run your code, so please do not edit them, but please contact us directly (ideally, during the unofficial phase!) if there are there particular variables that you would like us to include -- so that we can edit them and everyone can use the same data and data processing scripts. We may be able to add more variables, but your code should not expect them because they may not be available in the other datasets.
In general, your code should be robust to missing, implausible, or erroneous information, including in the header files, such as age and sex, or in the signal files, such as more or fewer leads, all-zero leads or lead segments, or short or long recordings, that occur in real-world data.
Best,
Matt
