Dear Challengers,

The deadline for the unofficial phase (24th April) is only one week away, and the deadline for submitting your CinC abstract (1st May) is only two weeks away! We are writing to remind you to submit your first entries as soon as possible and not in the day (or hour, or minutes…) before the deadline, in case there are unexpected errors with your entry.

Most first attempts fail for simple reasons. However, due to the large number of entries that we receive immediately before the deadline, we do not have the capacity to help with last-minute issues or the ability to accept changes after the submission deadline. Please remember that you must have at least one successful entry during the unofficial phase of the Challenge and an accepted CinC abstract to be eligible to be ranked at the end of the Challenge.

Please note that your Challenge abstract won’t be judged on the quality of your results, but rather on the coherence of your proposal of what you will do (which can change over the next several months). More info on what makes a good abstract can be found here:
https://physionetchallenges.org/2023/#abstracts

Your participation during the unofficial phase of the Challenge is also invaluable for helping us to improve the Challenge before the official phase. Every year, we receive insightful feedback when we’re no longer able to make changes, so please submit your entries and share your insights now so that we can incorporate them into the Challenge. We have already made (and continue to make and plan) changes to improve the Challenge with your feedback.

For more updates on the Challenge and announcements, please visit our website and the Challenge discussion forum:

We look forward to receiving your submissions to the Challenge.

Best,
Matt
(On behalf of the Challenge team.)
