Dear Challengers,
The official phase of this year’s Challenge ends on Sunday, 23 August 2020 at 11:59pm GMT (7:59pm ET).
We
encourage you to submit your final entries as soon as possible. We
always receive a large number of submissions immediately before the
deadline, and it is not always possible to provide actionable feedback
on entries that are submitted just before the deadline. Unfortunately,
due to the time constraints imposed by the conference and the need to be
fair to all teams, it is not possible to extend the deadline or grant
exceptions to the deadline.
After the end of the official phase,
we will rerun each team’s “best” or “favorite” entry on the full test
set. By default, we will use your highest-scoring entry from the
official phase, but you will have until Saturday, 29 August 2020 at
11:59pm GMT (7:59pm ET) to choose a different entry. Also, as announced
in February, working and reproducible training code is an important and
mandatory part of this year’s Challenge. Teams that do not include or
use their training code in their entries are not eligible for prizes or
the official Challenge rankings.
If you have not done so already,
then please register for CinC. Your papers and presentations are
essential and important (and fun) parts of each Challenge. To be
eligible for prizes and the official Challenge rankings, each team must
submit a conference paper and give an oral presentation or poster
presentation about your work. If you are unable to attend in person,
then you can attend remotely this year at a reduced fee. (Please contact
the CinC organizers directly for fees, invitation letters, etc.)
Please see the following information (including deadlines) for CinC papers, oral presentations, and poster presentations:
http://www.cinc.org/information-for-computing-in-cardiology-authors/https://www.cinc2020.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/CinC-Speaker-Guidelines_CC_SS.pdfLike
past years, you must submit a preprint of your paper to CinC shortly
before the conference (by 6 September 2020) and update it to include
your final score and ranking (and any other edits) after the conference
(by 30 September 2020). We have prepared a LaTeX template for you to use
for your CinC papers (the above website also has a Word template):
https://www.overleaf.com/read/pypkrsjyrqngPlease
follow the instructions in this template. In particular, please cite
the following reference as the official description of the Challenge.
This paper describes the Challenge in general, so you should focus on
describing your work:
Erick A. Perez Alday, Annie Gu, Amit Shah,
Chad Robichaux, An-Kwok Ian Wong, Chengyu Liu, Feifei Liu, Ali Bahrami
Rad, Andoni Elola, Salman Seyedi, Qiao Li, Ashish Sharma, Gari D.
Clifford, Matthew A. Reyna. Classification of 12-lead ECGs: the
PhysioNet/Computing in Cardiology Challenge 2020. Under Review.
Best
wishes for the final days of the official phase, and we look forward to
(remotely) seeing as many of you as possible next month!
Best,
The Challenge Organizers
