For anyone seeking some work over the summer, CK-12 seeks physics and chemistry writers this summer to generate free open source textbooks for physics and chemistry.  Graduate internships are also available.  You can write to   jo...@ck12.org for more information.

About CK12 (http://www.ck12.org/flexbook/)

CK-12 Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to reduce the cost of textbook materials for the K-12 market both in the U.S. and globally.  CK-12 aims to create an online collaborative environment to produce free and open textbooks aligned to curriculum guidelines that can be customized for individualized needs.  Using an open-content, web-based collaborative model termed the “FlexBook,” CK-12 intends to pioneer the generation and distribution of high quality educational content that will serve both as core text as well as provide an adaptive environment for learning.  We are seeking experienced teachers and curriculum writers to develop content for high school science.  Period: ASAP through May 31, 2011
