We all know that cause for revolution of earth is gravity . But we
generally come to a pause and come to think what can be the cause for
rotation of earth.
Cause for rotation of earth is conservation of angular momentum . As
due to no friction in outer space this angular momentum of earth
remains constant and thus earth once set rotating keeps on rotating .
You may also be glad to know that the cause for the continuation of
fan once it is swithed off is same but it stops due to friction .
