Nobel Prize in Physics 2013

Hi,

Feeling great to write you after a long time.

As you all may already know, the Nobel Prize of this year has been given to Higgs and Englert for their theoretical discovery of the Higgs mechanism and Higgs particle. The existance of this particle was experimentally confirmed by ATLAS and CMS experiments at the CERN last year.

About a year ago, I was asked by Prof. K. N. Joshipura to write a Gujarati article on the brief introduction of the Higgs boson. I think this is the best time to share it with you (Page no. 9 in the attached issue of "Pragaami Tarango"). It may be of your interest.

Dear Kirti (Kay Kay, the great), Kathan and Nitya,

Thanks for your compliments. I was little engaged with academic stuffs and in moving from one institute to the other. Since 1st of this month, I have joined INFN in Padua, Italy as a postdoctoral researcher and will be here for two years. I thought sharing the above article will be a good way to come back in the group.

BTW, Nitya, if you want tips for writing an article in mother language, Kathan is the most suitable person. You can take his service. (I don't know whether he has started to charge for it or not !).

Hopefully, I will keep posting the new developements in the field.

Ketan Bhaila, mane lapet ma kem lo chho? :D I last wrote in Gujarati maybe in 2010. But, you please continue writing.

Researchers often get busy communicating to people within their narrow fields (also true in my area of research).  We definitely need people like you (the scientists) to write more and communicate with laymen and young students. Your writing has an element of humour (Kumbhkarna jeva aalasu Bosons!!!) - youngsters would love it. Keep it up.
