Would it be possible to add
Legionella pneumophila to BackPhyre? Here is a
link to the FASTA formatted protein sequences for this genome.
Species of Legionella are responsible for human disease (Pontaic Fever, Legionaries Disease) and are heavily studied as models for bacterial pathogenesis and to study mammalian and amoeba cell biology. The field frequently studies virulence proteins with low sequence homology to any known protein, and Phyre has been indispensable in helping predict possible protein functions. The use of BackPhyre would expand these capabilities considerably.
