to Phyre
Dear Dr. Lawrence,

First of all, thank you for developing this useful tool and leave it publicly accessible!!!

Would it be possible to add Trypanosoma brucei (TREU927, reference strain) to Back Phyre, please?

Trypanosoma brucei is a eukaryotic protozoan parasite that causes human African trypanosomiasis (HAT), also known as sleeping sickness, which is fatal without therapy.
How this microorganism diverged early in the evolution, many proteins couldn't be found using the primary structure, for which the BackPhyre tool, becomes an excellent option!

Already exist publications using this tool for the identification of proteins with excellent results in the related microorganism Leishmania major, and that's why I also want to use this tool with the same purpose in T. brucei.

This link (https://tritrypdb.org/tritrypdb/app) connects with the database of Trypanosomatids, in which you will find all related with T. brucei (sequences about the genome, genes proteins etc). You can explore it.

connects with each chromosome of T. brucei (TREU927), where you can download it in FASTA format.

you can choose each chromosome to view the sequences of all genes contained in that chromosome. After choosing the chromosome and click on the "get answer", the new page shows you the results. Be sure the click on in gene results to view the sequence of all genes.

I don't know all this is enough, if not, let me know please!

Beforehand thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Ricardo Obonaga
