Which language are you playing the game in? English

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What is your current game version number? n/a

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go bowling with Seasons installed

What happens when the bug occurs? I sent my Sims bowling and all the pins were down, it was daytime in the early afternoon. Went to go bowling, it on moonlight bowling, I wanted them to select a ball, they went to the bar instead. I clicked on a bowling lane and told them to bowl 5 games together both sims threw up their hands and couldn't bowl. All the pins in all the lanes were down and no one was bowling, not even the NPC's that were there, they were just standing around.

What do you expect to see? NPC's bowling and to for my sims to be able to bowl.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I just tested it out and I was able to reproduce this bug. Bowling works fine for me as long as all bowling pins on a lane are up when entering the lot, however sims cannot bowl on a lane where at least one pin has already been down at the time you enter the bowling lot. Just a lot of shrugging and no bowling.

I don't work or have any association with EA. I give advice to the best of my knowledge and cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your computer/game.

Please only contact me via PM when asked to do so.

Unfortunately I no longer have that save file. I am sorry I would have been willing to share it but after checking my saves I don't have any of the files from June anymore. Although I do backup my saves, I didn't back up that one because of the bug. I did bulldoze the building and placed a new one on the lot as someone suggested and that worked.

However, the functionality of Townie Sims spawning and autonomously interacting with the Bowling Lane is restricted to the Bar, Lounge or Night Club community lots. Unfortunately Child and Teen Sims don't spawn on these lots types, that'd be inappropriate, and these lot types are designed to be frequented by Sims aged Young Adult and older. Besides, who would invite a child to a Bar?

More family gameplay is always welcome. It would be fun to see kids from other Townie families come out and freely bowl at a more appropriate location than a Bar. It's a great chance for Sims to make friends and meet others their same age, especially when starting a new family or save file.

@Vyo4 I love this idea! An arcade (or similar) or similar lot type would be amazing! It would also be great if on this lot people could add a bowling alley (if they own that pack) if they like that would be useable to those that visit. It would be amazing if the Sims visiting this lot could play video games (on computers, or even via console/tv), and of course all of the gaming aspects you listed from all of the packs, if owned. If I'm dreaming here I would also love if I could own such a place as a business where I sell items or serve food... perhaps where they could just purchase food at a counter (somewhat similar to how you can at a bar now), and if it's owned as a business the sales from this food would be your income... perhaps even along with payments per use for certain games? And to push it a bit further, if this could be combined with a movie theater, if desired, how fun would that be?!

Anyway, if any new lot type(s) could make these gaming aspects workable in the manners you mentioned for dates, teens, kids, etc., this would enhance the game to me as well! You have my "XP" and "Me Too"!

I did initially think that Generic would cover these types of lots but I get zero foot traffic on my Generic lots, even with social lot traits. My bowling alley was totally deserted until I made it a bar. My kids play castle was changed to a National Park because it has less restrictive lot requirements. I detest lot requirements, mostly because they don't carry over to different countries. In the UK we would never have chess tables, BBQs, tables and chairs in all of our parks for example. In the Sims by the time you've placed a roller rink on a little park it doesn't make sense to put chess tables around it. I did add one successfully to a retail lot (shopping mall) though and that does get busy. So I'm going to do the same for a new bowling alley.

Since the Bowling Lane works as designed on only Adult-themed Community Lot Types (Bar, Lounge, Nightclub), where Townie Sims will autonomously bowl without being prompted, I'd like to suggest creating a new Base Game lot trait: Family Friendly.

However this solution doesn't address the weirdness of Child-aged Sims spawning at a Bar or Nightclub, but it does offer a quick-fix solution that works with existing Lots without the need to create a brand new Lot Type.

@Manda4everI find they take longer if there are a lot of sims and they are talking rather than bowling. You kind of have to make sure the sims are staying on track and actually playing the game rather than getting distracted.

Bowling alleys are objects introduced in The Sims 2: Nightlife. Anyone who is a child or older can play solo or in groups of up to four Sims. They may bowl autonomously, and may autonomously join a group. Bowling builds the body skill, and Sims with higher body skill bowl better. If FreeTime is installed, it also raises enthusiasm for the games hobby.

While bowling alleys can be placed on residential lots, in practice the length of a bowling alley tends to make bowling a community lot activity. Bowling alleys will contain a "pit" area at the back, which will penetrate walls and fences and can be decorated with anchored awning.

Bowling returns in The Sims 3: University Life, and any Sim who is a child or older can bowl. Unlike The Sims 2: Nightlife, only two Sims can bowl at a time, and Sims will not sit down on nearby chairs when waiting their turn. Sims will bowl ten times, but will not get a second attempt if they bowl a spare; each turn ends as soon as a Sim has bowled once. When a game ends, the player will get a notification with how many points each player scored.

Bowling was reintroduced in The Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff. Bowling alleys can be used by anyone who is a child or older. Bowling is also a new 5 level skill in the stuff pack and its ideal emotion is focused. When children use the bowling alley, gutter bumpers are automatically enabled. Moonlight bowling is also available in the pack after hours, illuminating the entire bowling alley in bright and flashing cyan/blue colors; this will provide Sims with a "Playful Dcor" moodlet, making them playful.

Getting a strike will make Sims playful.[confirmation needed] However, Sims will become angry if they get too many gutter balls. An extremely rare feat, known as a perfect llama, is achieved when a Sim bowls ten consecutive strikes in a single game. A perfect llama is also a new in-game achievement, worth 125 points (the most of any other achievement in The Sims 4), and grants the Sim access to a new trophy in build mode.

There are no new items for children or toddlers in this stuff pack, so the only new items will only work with teens, adults, and elders. There are also no new accessories, hats, or other various things to glam your Sims up ready for their big bowling match. While the hairstyles are nice, and I like the ripped jeans, the majority of things in Create a Sim are not necessities or anything too special.

Another fun addition is that you can select the colour of your bowling ball and the higher skill you have, the more colours you can select from! I thought this was a nice touch to the game and allows you to add that extra layer of customisation for your Sims.

The Sims Bowling is a mobile game in the series of The Sims, developed by EA Games for devices iPod and later mobile phones. The game was released on July 18, 2007. The game itself is a reworked version of the successful 2004 JAMDAT Bowling bowling simulator . The Sims Bowling combines a life simulator with a bowling game, where the player must collect points by playing bowling in different game modes in order to set up their home and buy bowling equipment.

Critics have given mixed opinions about the game, on the one hand they praised The Sims Bowling for its high-quality graphics and varied gameplay, but criticized the game physics, especially behavior of pins, called it outdated, but the gameplay is not deep enough .

The game begins with the player creating a male or female character, choosing a suitable hairstyle and clothing for him.[1] The controlled Sim then comes to the bowling alley to compete against other NPCs. Control is carried out in the first person, the player determines the location of the ball and with what force he should throw it. The ultimate goal of the player is to win with a score of 300.[2]leftthumb200x200px Demonstration of gameplay The game also introduces the so-called life goal, in particular the sim dreams of becoming the star of the bowling alley, the sim's aspiration level increases with the player's skill.[3] There are also four different game modes in The Sims Bowling : Classic - a casual bowling game, Strike-o-thon - which counts how many hits the player can hit, and Spare-o-thon - the same for the substitutes. The player can also practice, this mode allows you to develop a strategy for solving difficult situations, such as, for example, 7-10 splits. The player can also compete with another player in the Pass' n Play mode, passing in turn the phone to make a move . There is also a "Bowl Now" mode, which instantly introduces a random opponent into the game with multiplayer support, for example, in devices such as the LG VX8100 or Samsung M610.[4] The iPod version is only compatible with 5th generation devices .
