phy installation on MacOS Catalina - stuck in Building wheel for PyYAML (setup.py)

Hi,

I have run phy2 smoothly under MacOS Mojave in the past.

After the upgrade had to reinstall anaconda and phy. 

When running:

pip install phy --pre --upgrade

It gets stuck / frozen / unresponsive at 

Building wheels for collected packages: PyYAML, future, nltk, regex, backcall

 Building wheel for PyYAML (setup.py) ... -

Since this happened, I created a second, separate environment in which I run 

pip install phy --pre 
pip install phy --upgrade

Separately. It then misses packages 'traitlets' and 'click', which I install, only to fail with:

phy template-gui params.py

Usage: phy [OPTIONS] COMMAND [ARGS]...

Error: No such command "template-gui".

I'm running out of ideas. Any help is highly appreciated!!

What if you do : 

pip install phylib --pre --upgrade

?

Done. And now I run 

pip install phy --pre --upgrade

on top of that?

Problem is solved.

MacOS Catalina Users: Update your XCode before installing phy2. Github instructions then work right away.
