Are there any plans to add better support for using the asset pipeline
with Passenger Standalone in production?

http://edgeguides.rubyonrails.org/asset_pipeline.html#far-future-expires-header
http://edgeguides.rubyonrails.org/asset_pipeline.html#gzip-compression

By default, I don't think my assets are returning the correct headers
to fully utilize caching & compression:

I've just added support for this in the 'experimental' branch.
