Hi, I am new to using passenger and getting the below error. I am using RVM, ruby 1.9.3 and tried a number of different options but still no dice.

RVM
Ruby 1.9.3-p429
Phusion 4.0.5
Ubuntu - 12.10 - 64 bit

Error Message:
/usr/local/rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.3-p429/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require': cannot load such file -- phusion_passenger/spawn_manager (LoadError)
    from /usr/local/rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.3-p429/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require'
    from /usr/share/phusion-passenger/helper-scripts/passenger-spawn-server:97:in `<main>'

Please advice.

Thanks

Additional Information:

Using Nginx and the settings are
http {
#  passenger_root /usr/lib/phusion-passenger;
  passenger_root /usr/local/rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p429/gems/passenger-4.0.5;
  passenger_ruby /usr/local/rvm/wrappers/ruby-1.9.3-p429/ruby;
.................
}

Standalone passenger starts up fine, just not thrown Nginx.

Have you tried Passenger Standalone?

Standalone works fine, but when I try to start it up from Nginx it gives the spawn error message.

You should use Standalone since it works for you.
