Dear Friends,
Well, I get enthused you know? Plus, these days in the frozen Midwest, I get enthused pretty easily because I've been reading and reading and wearing the same sweat pants and sweater for a week. So, I went and added y'all as members to the list Nancy and I started because I just up and thought you might like it. You might not. Which is totally fine. If you want to unsubscribe, just click the link below that let's you do that. My feelings will not be hurt.
But, if you do want to: did any of you hear the show about boredom on NPR today? It might not run on your station, and I'm going to track down the website later and send it along. I think there's something really important about the role of boredom in this whole discussion. Because one way to define it, and they did, is a feeling that that never has been and never will be any pleasure, interest, verve. And then how they were defining interest and verve was really interesting. Our strategies for avoiding/coping with boredom. Like adding your friends to your new discussion list without really asking them first. I would summarize, but I have to go to the city today (brrr). The St Louis extension of the Irigaray Circle is meeting. So when I get back, I'll work on that.
Hope y'all are well, and remember, unsubscribing is really easy.
Simone
