Hello Ponderosa Band people!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Laura and I played trombone and baritone at Ponderosa until I graduated in 2011.
If you've ever wanted to hear nearly 200 tubas playing Christmas Carols between 2 tall buildings, you're in luck! Tuba Christmas is tomorrow! For every year in the last 5 years there has been at least 1 person (and up to the whole low brass section) going downtown to represent Ponderosa at this event!
To participate, you need to play the baritone or tuba and it will cost $5, the music also costs $20, but can be reused every year!
Other information you should know:
DENVER - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23 - TIME: 1:00 pm
LOCATION: Skyline Park
REGISTRATION: 9:00 am, Auraria PE/Event Center
REHEARSAL: 10:00 am, same
PARKING: Rehearsal parking is different this year. Park in the Tivoli Garage. From Auraria Parkway enter the campus on 9th St. , turn left on Walnut and enter the garage on your left.
NOTE: From the garage walk past the east side of the Tivoli, continue one half block, and enter the PE/Event Center through the main door to your left. Rehearsal will end at noon. Walk or drive to Skyline Park bordered by 17th & 18th & Lawrence & Arapahoe Streets. There is a handy garage between 17th & 18th on Lawrence St.
Even if you don't play baritone or tuba, we'd love to see you there!
