Hello Band Parents!
I know we are all very busy!  I need to place the order for the sub sandwiches.  Here's the problem: Mr. Phalen has only collected money from about 7 kids.  In order to feed 31 marching band kids, this money does not even come close to an order of sandwiches to feed 35. (That is like $100 short!)  Also, in checking the sign-up genius, I only have 5 parents who have sent an RSVP for their child to have dinner at school in between marching practice and the feeder concert.  I am hoping that those 5 that RSVP-ed are the ones who have given money to Mr. P.  So, I am happy to stop and get sandwiches for the 7 who have paid..... or if you will kindly email me back or sign-up on the RSVP by 3:00 Sunday afternoon that would be great!  I know that not everyone is getting the Sign-up Genius emails...I don't know why, but a few have emailed me and so I know that you can't RSVP that way.  Also, the money must be given to Mr. Phalen on Monday, so that I can get it in time to pay for the sandwiches when I leave work on Tuesday afternoon. I will pick up the sandwiches and take them to Ponderosa before 5:30.  You are certainly welcome to pick up your child at school, feed them at home and get them back to school dressed for the concert in less than an hour.  Mr. Phalen and I just thought this would be helpful to have the meal at school for the kids.  I'm not sure what his "call time" is, but I would imagine 6:00 or 6:15.  Remember there will be students from Sagewood, Legacy Point, Northeast and Franktown coming in to park and come inside and that will take time as well.  I'm sorry, I don't want to sound "preachy", just realistic.  :o)
On a positive note:  THANK YOU to all of the parents who have volunteered to provide the meal before the football game on Friday!  The football team is undefeated and it is probable that we will have a play-off game...and at our home stadium!  Watch for information from Mr. Phalen!  Also, please plan to come hand out treats from the trunk or back hatch of your car on Thursday.  I am so glad the forecast looks better than last Thursday when the storm was coming in!  I will bring a few grocery bags, but the kids are welcome to bring their own trick-or treat bags too!
Thanks everyone!
