Hello Marching Band Parents:
In order to make more seats available for band students on the bus, we are going to drive the band truck down to Colorado Springs. This will also allow the big instruments to come back to school on the band truck rather than kids having to find another way to get the back to Parker. Kids can dress warmly with our pep band jackets over the top. (No marching uniforms) I can get a deal with the manager from Chick-Fil-A here in Parker, so we can get more food for our money. Please have your student at PHS by 4:15 so that they have time to eat before boarding the bus. Please give $5.00 to Mr. P to pay for the food. The kids may want to bring extra money for the concession stand. However, since we will have the truck, we can feed them a snack and hot chocolate around half-time. Please arrange for your child to be picked up back at PHS once we get back to Parker. Mr. Phalen will not be coming back to the school and there will be no way to get into the school to wait once we are back. I will send a sign-up genius for you to RSVP for the food. I need to hear from you by Wednesday so that I know how much food to buy.
Do not forget to RSVP to Mr. P that you want to be on the bus! He needs to know how many seats to save for band kids! (William...@dcsdk12.org)
