Hello, Heidi,
My memories of high school friends is much like yours,
seeing faces as we knew them then, but glad we still have
some connections.
I often wonder where friends' lives have taken them, and
what their new families are like. As for me, I have been
very fortunate to be blessed with a loving husband & two
children with whom we are very close. Our daughter lives
just 40 minutes from us, and, though our son is in Berlin,
we see each other as often as we can, especially on our
many trips abroad each year.
Overall, I think our class of '63 has done well to stay active,
stay in touch, and show care for each other & our PHS
teachers. As for me, I have been grateful to enjoy tennis,
pickleball, skiing, hiking, swimming, cycling, etc., along with reading, photography, gardening, political activism, and so
much more....which I suspect many of my classmates have
pursued to some degree. Many of our high school teachers
gave us the knowledge and drive to be actively invested in life,
so, kudos to all of you who reach out and care to stay in touch.
Heidi, though we have all grown older, I can sense that there is
still a bit of the youthful spirit among us, and I am glad to hear
news of former classmates. Below are some photos of my
family which I thought you might enjoy:
Last year, hiking along the Skyline Drive in Virginia (where I
live) with my son Geoffrey and husband John:
My daughter Julie & husband Keith, on our hike along the
Cornwall Coastal Path in England:
Two years ago hiking in England...before Keith
joined the family.
Heidi, I hope you have a happy holiday season, and I hope you, Tim, and your family are doing well.
Best wishes,
Betsey (Liz)
