CRMLS is migrating from its CARETS feed to a new RETS feed and I am have not been able to connect with phrets or retsmd.com The new login is https://rets.crmls.org/contact/rets/login

Does anyone have an example that works?

The first issue was the SSL connection. The new feed is using a https url and you need the latest version of phRETS for this. I was using an old version that does not handle an SSL connection.

I was then able to connect but not get any metadata. This turned out to be a configuration issue with CRMLS. I got in touch with RETS...@crmls.org to properly configure the account. I can now get metadata but I am waiting for approval of the licensing dept today so I can pull all the listings.

Sreekanth-

It could be that your account has not been configued by CRMLS. That's the problem I had and I am waiting for the licensing dept to approve my client, I can only get client listings at this point.

If you don't get metadata then your account has not been configred. Then you need to get in touch with RETS...@crmls.org

Sreekanth-

Did you try using the direct urls to query in my previous response? The responses could be out of order. See the one at 3:10PM. If you can't get metadata you probably can't do any queries.

My first try at getting the photos did not work. I got a "20401 = Invalid Type" error. I will review the meta data to check.

I had a similar problem after the migration. Unable to authenticate with an http 401 error. Turns out it was a special character in the password killing the authentication. Just in case anybody else runs into it.

JeremiahB,

I am having a similar issue 401 with a new installation of wamp in my testing server.
I guess it is because my password contains a '+' symbol.
I tried urlencode() to the password but it didnt help.
Could you let me know how you overcome the special character issue?
I guess it sis something with the php.ini or httpd.conf settings.

It is still working well in production server wher it is still the old installation.

thanks

Sreekanth,

Enter the credentials… if it connects, then check your code.

Everyone, please OH PLEASE search the group before asking, again, the same questions. Everyone's time is valuable, and not even double checking your code or this forum before you ask other people for an answer is disrespectful. Furthermore, it makes me not want to help you in the future. I gotta said I did this for a couple of other lately active users on this forum: I've seen them posting the first question that comes to mind without even doing any effort to solve it themselves. So currently, I do not answer any postings by them. I work with +50 RETS markets using this library, all work perfectly, and would love to help you out, but ONLY after you did your due diligence.

Sorry about the rant.

The issue with CRMLS using the new PHRets version is that you have to add cookie support, as specified here:

While I fully agree with people not doing any research, you got to realize that those that don't check the forum will never see your message :)

There should be like a sticky post that says "Read This Before You Post Your Message".

A sticky post like this would really help. It should include a short list of obvious problems like cookies or special characters and using retsmd. I participate on several car related forums that make great use of this approach.

I believe, though, that only the group admin can make a sticky post.

I have no problem in preparing one, but who's the admin? Is it Troy?
