Storing YouTube videos for user selection to websites and export

My users would like to store YouTube videos in our Phraseanet instance. The users request that entering desired metadata would return BOTH the mpg videos stored in Phraseanet and the YouTube videos 'stored' in Phraseanet.

Has anyone done this? Any suggestions?
