recomend installation method?

hello community,

can someone shine some light on the preffered way to install / use Phraseanet with docker?
my target system is a ubuntu 20.04.

i first tried with the docker stack:

because i followed a link somewhere (don’t remember where exactly..)
but this did not work out - as i don’t understand the part

Docker images
You have to build the phraseanet images from the Phraseanet repository
(follow the README instruction inside it).

i have managed to use docker for some other setups - iam just a beginner with these vm concepts..

i then just experimented with the
https://github.com/alchemy-fr/Phraseanet
repo -
in the main Phraseanet readme there is the section ‘phraseanet-with-docker’

as i had experimented with the other repo first i had to clean up things..
after the clone of the repo i tried with

docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml up -d
but this failed with a error:

~/Phraseanet$ docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml up -d 
ERROR: Configuration for volume db_vol specifies "device" driver_opt None, but a volume with the same name uses a different "device" driver_opt (/home/mserv/media_data/db). If you wish to use the new configuration, please remove the existing volume "phraseanet_db_vol" first: 
$ docker volume rm phraseanet_db_vol

i removed the volumes -

(these where build by my test start in the phraseanet-docker repo….)

after this it now seams to work…
but what does the other repo do then??

i hope someone can educate me here ;-)

Hello Community,

the installation seemd fine - but the setup has some problems:

the preview images are not shown.

so there is something missing...

and i currently have no idea where to start..

any ideas how to debug this?
