Hi

Has anybody already tried phpVirtualbox on vbox 4.2 RC1? Don't want upgrade and break my installation with that...

Thanks

I just set it up yesterday, just started creating VM's on it today with no apparent issues yet on the Virtualbox side. However phpVirtualbox seems to have an issue with opening the VM's that I have created.

I even pulled the latest 4.2 branch from the SVN yesterday to make sure that I was using the right version.

But this is the error I get when trying to open VM's.

Method 'ns1:IMachine_getHpetEnabled' not implemented: method name or namespace not recognized

Hadn't created an issue report on the page yet though. But Virtualbox 4.2 RC is less then two days old so its expected that the jump from Beta to RC breaks some things.

Also 4.2 is just a RC so not production ready. So if your VM's are mission critical I suggest you hold off for now with the upgrade.

ok, thanks for the feedback. So I will wait until full release. Hopefully phpVirtualbox does follow up with the new features soon, so we can use them.

phpVirtualBox is not ready for 4.2 yet. Some things may work if they are backward compatible with 4.1. Do not create an issue report stating that phpvirtualbox is not compatible with a release candidate version of virtualbox. When you see phpvirtualbox-4.2-x, THAT version will be compatible with virtualbox 4.2.

I will try to get this done in the next few weeks. With my day job and family, I can't commit to any specific date.

Hi imoore76

Thanks for taking time at all working on phpvirtualbox, it's much appreciated. I know how it is to try to juggle all those things together. Hope you find time soon to have a look at 4.2, in the meanwhile take care.

Hello,

Thanks for your work on phpvirtualbox dev. Do you have news about 4.2 full support now that VirtualBox 4.2 stable is out  ?

Hello,

I'm still working on it. I do not have a release date yet.
