BUG: focus alternates between fields in div with overflow:auto

Having multiple fields inside a scrolling content div renders this product unusable for multiple versions of IE. Focus alternates between fields, causing the div to jump back and forth to different scroll positions. Misspelled word replacement fails to function reliably after this happens. Oddly, the problem only seems to occur when using inputs, not with textareas. Details and a simple page to reproduce the issue are at:
