images don't pre-load

I use the script and love it (Thanks Greg!) but I recently noticed that it is no longer preloading images. It now shows a blank space with just the border (a little square) showing in it and then loads the picture. So, it seems the script is still working but... no pre-load. Any ideas anybody?
