I create a new template.html (see my example here:

My question is: there is a way to auto-scroll the div to show the
current thumbnail when slideshow starts?

Your best bet may be to use a javascript. Something like using the
jQuery ScrollTo plugin or writing your own and scolling the div to the
image that is selected. http://plugins.jquery.com/project/ScrollTo
