Net/http: timeout awaiting response headers

Having switched to another Apache web server, I now have a "timeout" while the index.php file is loading. 

FTP port 21 is open and I believe the host credentials (hostname,username, etc) are accepted on the server side.

Is there something I should look up to on the Slideshow files or some Apache commands I need to check or add to make it work again !
