how to use codigniter to store images and display that images on my website

i have been trying to get this done since but all to no avail. please anyone with a useful information should please.. i want users to upload images and after uploading it shoud be stored on google store  that the same image will be his profile picture. i have done that locally(on my local server but i don't want it there)
