Error with standard application

Hi everyone!
I'm an italian teacher and I would show Android programming to my
students that knows something about PHP programming.
I've tried to installa first SL4A and then PHPFORANDROID.
When I try to start PHPFORANDROID I've the following problem:
The application PHPFORANDORID (process
com.googlecode.android_scripting) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try
again.
The same problem is with SL4A.
Android is 2.2 and kernel is 2.6.32.
I have more than 1GB free and installing other application from
Android market works very well.
Can anyone help me please?

How have you installed phpforandroid? from sl4a or separately?
