[Discussion][Member Projects] Utopia PHP membership application

Hey all,

As a core commitee member, I would like to sponsor Utopia PHP[1] as a member project, I would like to introduce Torsten Dittmann[2] as the Project Representative.

Utopia PHP is the PHP framework behind the company Appwrite[3], and is an open-source micro-framework maintained by the Appwrite team. They have a large community of users, not as many on the framework side right now though.

Hi Steve,
Utopia looks like a strong set of libraries and  might be a good fit, especially if that means another active contributor.

That said, I'd be curious what value Utopia expects to get from being a member. It doesn't seem like they are particularly interested in writing PSR compatible libraries beyond PSR-4 and PSR-12 today, do they intend to put more emphasis on Interoperability in future versions?

That's something I can't comment on, however it is something I have broached with them.

I will try and get the representative to chime in.
