Hello All,

There is an active election for September 2026, with nominations now open. The Voting Protocol (https://www.php-fig.org/bylaws/voting-protocol/) and rules for Elections and Vacancies (https://www.php-fig.org/bylaws/elections-and-vacancies/) establish the rules for this round of voting.

Nomination are now open, and close on September 8, 2026:

1. 2026-09-01 00:00:00 UTC through 2026-09-08 23:59:59 UTC: Nomination Period
2. 2026-09-08 00:00:00 UTC through 2026-09-22 00:00:00 UTC: Voting Period
3. 2026-09-27 17:00:00 UTC: Voted personnel take office

Reminder that those nominated "must publicly accept their nomination in order to be valid".

The following current terms are scheduled to end, as seen at https://www.php-fig.org/personnel/:

Every one having an expiring term can express their intention to run again for election, as anyone else is welcome to throw their hat in the ring and help us out!

The CC members of the PHP-FIG are basically the technical steering committee; citing the bylaw: https://www.php-fig.org/bylaws/mission-and-structure/#the-core-committee

Q: Who can nominate?

A: Citing the bylaw: "Candidates for Secretary or the Core Committee must be nominated/proposed by an existing Project Representative or FIG Secretary to be considered, and must publicly accept their nomination in order to be valid. Prospective candidates may seek nominations in any way they see fit."
