I have been working with php-exel-reader and it is working great so
far. But now I have a need to read the .xls data directly from a blob
(database) or stream (i.e. loaded in memory) rather than directly
accessing a file. How can the reader function be modified to bypass
the reading of a file and go directly to reading the file data from
one of these alternate sources?

Anyone?

Thanks,
Rob.

I have not yet played with this library just found it today. But you
could if there is no internal work-around in the code, just write the
stream or blob to a temporary file /tmp/ and then read it from there
then unlink() it.

Thanks Doug.

Yeah...it's a great library and works great for what I'm doing.

Thanks for the advice though I'm already writing to a temp file. I'm
looking for a way to tap directly in and eliminate the step of writing
to a temp file.
