DiRT is the Driftless Institute of Research and Technology in southwest Wisconsin.

We are a so-far informal spinoff of a Linux user group that includes some farmers and gardeners. We also know teachers, soil scientists and ag extension agents.  Our area is a hotbed of organic agriculture, and many people are trying to become more scientific in their practices.

We applied for the Photosynq beta, but are pretty clueless about the science and engineering behind Photosynq, so we will have a lot to learn between now and the beta.

We have read everything on the website.  We are eager for more tips about things people should know or learn before the beta test, to make it more meaningful.  And also ideas for experiments we could do.  As our own ideas come together, we will float them here for comments and suggestions for improvement.

Looking forward to Photosynqing!

Thanks Bob -

Ha, photosynqing... I sounds like spelunking... maybe not quite as nerve wracking :)

Looking forward to your thoughts and ideas as we move towards a beta unit!
