eevika Photography Competition 2011
The Centre for Civil Society, through its Livelihood Freedom Campaign-
Jeevika, develops public policy measures to clear the path for free
enterprise. This campaign is based on the principle that the quality
of life is intrinsically related to the degree of livelihood and
economic freedom. Jeevika aims to shift the terms of public debate in
favor of deregulation of exit and entry barriers for pursuit of an
honest livelihood, through a combination of research, advocacy and
outreach activities.

This year, we are organising a Photography Competition for
professional and amateur photographers from all over Asia. The theme
of the competition is ‘Forms of Livelihood in the Unorganised Sector’.
The final selected entries would be exhibited during the Asia
Livelihood Documentary Festival 2011, and duly awarded.

Now in its eight year running, our flagship programme – The Asia
Livelihood Documentary Festival will be held on the 26-28 August 2011.
It will involve phenomenal participation from film-makers and
photographers throughout Asia; professionals actively involved in the
field of livelihood; students of Delhi and other National Universities
and other Professional Institutes. In 2010, the guest panel comprised
of ace actress Ms Shabana Azmi, Mr Sharad Yadav, MP and Chairman,
Committee for Urban Development, Dr Adish C Aggarwala, President,
International Council of Jurists and Mr S M Khan, Director, Film
Festivals, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, GOI.
