Trial license for VPIcomponentMaker

Assalamualaikum and Good day

Dear All,

I would like to let everyone knows that we are having a trial (evaluation) license for VPIcomponentMaker software in Photonics lab until 17th of August 2015. 

This software works with VPItransmissionMaker (bundle) so that we could use the devices/component designed using the componentMaker in the transmission system. 

VPIcomponentMaker™ Fiber Optics is an R&D tool for modeling, optimization, and design of fiber-based optical devices such as doped fiber, Raman and parametric amplifiers, continuous wave and pulsed optical fiber sources, optical signal processing for telecommunication, high-power and ultrafast applications.

VPIcomponentMaker Photonic Circuits is developed with the goal to enable convenient, accurate and fast EDA-style design flow for elaborating modern and next generation photonic integrated circuits (PICs).

To all staff and students who would like to have a go for the componentMaker, please ask Mr. Zamili on which PC that the software ran on. Please use this short period of time to evaluate the software for your research.

I would also like to remind the students who are using the VPItransmissionMaker for not to mess around with the software's program files or trying to control/run the program from home or attempt to crack the software. It is illegal plus we are out of service support to ask for help if any technical problem arise. We will not tolerate with this attitudes and this can cause you to be barred from using the lab facilities.
