Workstations for Simulation

Salam & good day all,

Please be informed that the workstations/computers allocated for optical simulation software either VPI, FDTD and Optisystem in our lab are purposely for the simulation by the postgrads as well as final year project students. We received some feedbacks that the area is used as a workspace by some people until it hinders the relevant users from their work. This is unnecessary and should be avoided.

Hi,

I'm newbie in google groups.

I'm working with simulation in Elastic Optical Network.

My computers has:

Core i7 4th generation desktop CPU

16GB DDR4

SSD device

Simulator developed in Java

To simulate only one topology, each scenario get from 2 to 3 minutes. 

A complete simulation get up to 30 minutes.
