Any Cochin Photographers Up For A Photo Walk?

Hi all,

I'm new to the group. I've been living in Cochin for 18 months now but
have no photography peers to talk to or hang out with. Just wondered
if any members of this group are into street photography and wanted to
hook up for a walkabout?

Hi all,

Wow, impressed by the response, I'm looking forward to this. I'm off up to the north eastern states for a trip on Sunday 6th, so I can do the 5th if it suits everyone else.

As for location, I'm easy. I prefer street stuff and fave places tend to be busy industrial, commercial and residential areas but to be honest anywhere with other local photographers will be a new experience for me.

Because I'm new to the group I don't know what you've covered and what you haven't so I'll leave it to you  decide and I'll just turn up with my camera.

Hi all,

OK, let's say this Saturday and perhaps a mid afternoon start, 3pm? I'm not sure how long your normal shoots last but a late afternoon start means we can catch some light, irrespective of rain. I do like the idea of some rain shots.

We still need a place to meet. Any suggestions or preferences? Also I'm interested to know what kind of gear you guys bring. Do you bring along tripods, flash-guns and all your lenses or do you find it easier just sticking to one lens and no camera bag? If this runs into the evening then I can't see how you can avoid taking extra gear with us. Advice sought.

We can meet at the boat station at menaka, if possbile carry essential lenses. If you carry more gear you will end up getting tired. I'm gonna bring my camera mounted kit lens, a tele lens and a flash

Jamie.. starting from morning would be a good option. We can begin from Fort Cochin and later to mattanchery. It would be good to cover fort cochin and mattanchery streets which will be covered with dusk. We can meet up at 6 at the Boat Jetty and everyone can go together
