There's something wrong with this program that can't be something
simple. There is a conflict somewhere, just don't know what could be
causing it. Sometimes it writes to disk (DVD), most times it doesn't.
It gets to within seconds of finalizing the write and quits. When it
does, the only way out is to kill the window (not exit, since that's
not possible). Sometimes the program will release from memory sometimes
it won't. It takes my DVD access away from me and that forces a reboot
to get it back. When the program will not release from memory, only a
reboot removes it (amazing that a thread can't be killed...),

Opening a menu and closing it w/o doing anything can cause the program
to unceremoniously remove itself from memory ... w/o any warning. After
the program has failed and I've been able to remove it from memory,
often the program will not run correctly until I: 1) reboot, 2) remove
all temporary files associated with ProShow, and 3) delete the psdata
folder ProShow has created from the particular show I'm working on.
This includes making an ISO file.

Also, I heard nothing from the company after two business days (so
far). I heard from one guy on Sunday (the initial problems I started
reporting on a Saturday) but he was just telling me that I needed to
work with the support folks that the vast majority of folks didn't have
anywhere near the problems I was having.

Intially figuring that the problems were memory related, I removed all
the TIFF files and used JPGs ... but that solved nothing except to
reduce the time a small amount that it took before the progarm failed.

Maybe a version 3 will resolve the problems. Something is very wrong
and I'm guessing the support folks really haven't got a handle yet on
what's causing these problems.

I've also been frustrated with this glitch. I first experienced it
with PSG...so I purchased PSP. Still had the problem...so I purchased
a new computer. After laying out nearly $2,000, I then discoverd ISO
files.

I learned from following another forum, the success others were having
with burning DVD's outside of PSG & PSP, so I downloaded the free
software 'imgburn', saved my slide shows as ISO files, then burned them
in less time it did to copy from one DVD to another. I agree...for the
price you would think Photodex would figure out the problem. Until
then, try imgburn.
