This happens consistently with me. I've never once been able to write
to a DVD. I've had to buy another DVD writing program (Sonic suit) and
save the show to disk then use Sonic program to write to disc.

Support told me it is usually causes by a conflict, most often Nero.
I've removed Nero, which came with my computer but the problem
persists. Have no idea what other program could be causing the
problem. Can't be Sonic,as I only bought the program because of my
inability to use ProShow to write to DVD.

My Proshow is installed on a new Windows Multimedia computer.

Anyone else with a similar problem or cure?

I seem to have a similair problem. I have been on the phone with
photodex numerous times as well.
I have had the dvd burn before, but still it consistantly freezes on
me. I am not sure a solution, but would be very interested in one, if
you get one.

Hi Warren,

I tried disabling all of my non-microsoft services in startup and it
still happened. I ended up buying the Roxio creator suite and now I
simply create the DVD to an ISO file and then use Creater Suite to burn
it to DVD. It works consistently every time, so I've decided not to
waste any more time trying to get ProShow to burn. Roxio just released
an update that allows you to burn HD DVD's so this may end up being an
advantage anyway. I scan photos to a high DPI, so I'm hoping the
upgrade will further improve the quality of my Photodex Shows, even
though they are good as is. Just have to figure out how to change the
settings in Photodex.

If I find any other solutions, will let you know!
