From what I gather from the tutorials, playing with the theme, and reading messages on here, it seems like I would have to make extensive modifications on my own in order to gain this functionality.  This is baffling to me.  I'm hoping maybe somebody here can clear up my confusion as I'm new to wordpress.

I'm converting a website I wrote in .Net for a photographer and under each photo is an "Add to Cart" button.  That's really my number one requirement; to keep that functionality.  I need a gallery that displays one photo at a time (I really like the filmstrip configuration in Photocrati's galleries) and has a way to add that photo to a cart (allowing the user to choose size and framed/matted).  From what I can tell, this isn't out-of-the-box functionality with Photocrati.  It seems I might be able to use a NextGen gallery with some e-commerce plugin. Is that my best bet?  Or would it be worth modifying the code in Photocrati to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Whit,

The only e-commerce function Photocrati offers is a thumb nail view that, when clicked, opens the image for viewing. I agree it's frustrating that you're unable to select the image to add to cart from the larger view.
I haven't delved deeper into finding a solution for it other than finding a completely separate format for sale. http://www.picturespro.com/i/photo_cart/ is something I wanted to look into when I come round to selling online. It seems the site is down at time of writing so not sure if this is a bad sign for that.

Hope you find your answers.
