Reply with your sponsor ideas. I'll throw mine in:

Local Biz:

Mike Crivello's [camera retailer]
Art's Camera [camera retailer]
Tom Fritz Labs [processing lab[
Apollo Imagizing [print lab]
MIAD [degreed photo program]

Regional:

Calumet [national retailer/equipement rental (Chicago)]
Helix Photoart [retailer/rental (Chicago)]
White Houe Custom Color [print lab (Minneapolis)]
Pechman Imaging [print lab (Kaukanna)]

National:
Adobe
NAPP
Any of the professional orgs (PPA, WIPPA, ASMP, etc.)
Just about any manufacturer. One thing that would be really cool is
to get them to bring demo units in for people to try. Not just
cameras or lenses , but lighting and grip too. If you know someone
who is a member of Canon or Nikon's professional services, they might
be a good conduit to a rep who could hook us up.

Out of curiosity, in this group, are there any PPA members (other than
myself)? I would not mind as a member poking around to see what is
available.

Flickr might be a good sponsor idea too.

Oh and
Midwest Photo Exchange (they sell the Strobist Kits)
Photoshelter (they sponsored an event in NY not terribly long ago)
Local restaurants (maybe sponsor via food or food discount?)

Definitely Flickr... I've got at least one contact who is still there
